Terrazzo Floor Cleaning

Similar to marble, terrazzo is a special kind of material. Terrazzo is safe for both indoor and outdoor use. It can be used for floors, counters, stairs, patios, columns, fountains, and many other structures. Terrazzo is popular for large, crowded venues such as a lobby, although it is suitable in nearly any setting. Terrazzo is well-regarded for its durability and cleanliness. However, when it does need cleaning or at least some fine-tuning, terrazzo and marble cleaning services are ideal.

Unlike a lot of other building (and especially flooring) materials, terrazzo is quite resilient. It rarely wears out or snags. Terrazzo has very few pores and tends to dry quickly, making it an ideal choice for indoor venues prone to collecting dust, mold, dirt, and other particles as well as outdoor venues that are susceptible to rain and allergens. And like marble floors, terrazzo floors are non-allergenic and are resistant to bacteria.

Terrazzo itself is a composite material made out of a mixture of marble, quartz, granite, glass, and other materials. Terrazzo restoration is hardly ever needed, though when work needs to be done it's best to leave it to the terrazzo and marble cleaning professionals.

Terrazzo is so versatile and popular, in fact, that it has been used from as far back as the Neolithic Era. Archaeologists have discovered terrazzo floors in ancient ruins in modern-day Turkey that date back to 10,000 B.C.E.! That makes it older than the Roman Empire.

Recently had a home built in a new development and picked out beautiful porcelain tiles for the main living area of the home. After moving in we noticed that many of the tiles had a haze on them which made the tiles look dull and dirty. We tried to clean them ourselves but quickly realized that there was some type of film on the tiles. We contacted the builder and eventually they agreed to allow us to get someone to clean the entire floor and they would reimburse us for the work.
